Clodagh, congratulations!
During every event we ask the scientists and moderators to nominate their top student — one who’s made the most of the event, shown enthusiasm and asked some really great questions.
Clodagh from St Dominic’s High School was nominated by the scientists for “asking a series of excellent questions regarding the use of animals in medical experiments. Whilst Clodagh expressed some views very different from my own, they acted respectfully and showed some amazing behaviours from which most adults could learn. As scientists, we need people to challenge our views and Clodagh is a great example of how this should be done.”
As the student winner, Clodagh will receive a certificate and a gift voucher.
Well done to Clodagh, and to everyone who took part. There were so many interesting questions, and comments, but there could only be one winner in each zone.
Really pleased for Clodagh, a worthy winner. Lots of other wonderful students too, but Clodagh – you asked some really challenging questions and I was so impressed. Keep asking questions and you’ll do fine! :-).
